Q How do you know Scott and Travis?
A. I have only known Scott for a short period through my wife Susan and friend Sandra who both work (ha ha) in Centre 1. Scott's enthusiasm and passion for the charity and life in general inspired me to get off my not unsubstantial bum and start moving.
Q What is your experience of previous Travistrek ventures?
A. I have followed the previous adventures through reports in Centre 1 and my daughter's school (Mossneuk Primary). This one I am delighted and privileged to be involved with. Having saw a DVD of the walk this is certainly a beauty of a challenge.
Q What do you know about Guide Dogs?
A. I don't know very much, but like everyone else, I have watched guide dogs at work and marveled at the skill and dedication of these magnificent animals. I can only guess at the amount of hours and dedication it takes to train these dogs and the skill to match them with their owners.
What I do know that there is always a need for more dogs, training and support services. None of these things are cheap and like everyone else the charity always needs more money so it is vitally important for us to get as much support as possible.
Q What are you looking forward to on the 2007 trek?
A. I am looking forward to the long sunny days strolling through the rolling hills of the English countryside(LOL). Seriously, the challenge of the walk, good company and nights in the bar remembering the good bits and drowning out the hard bits.
Q Anything else to add?
A. Just hoping for everyone to get through this with great memories, minimal pain and for everybody to dig deep and help out a great cause.
